Workplace Friction
Most work teams are people who’re processing information and communicate differently. If they don’t have a common language or structure, friction slows them down.
The team members are willing to collaborate. They start out motivated, capable, and aligned with the goal. What they often don’t recognize is
· how different people see the same situation,
· how their actions are looked at by other team members, and
· how fast those differences add up when work expectations are higher.
Common language is key to keeping team friction at bay.
