Things That Scare
Small Business Owners
We did a segment in our first season, episode three, where we took common horror movie tropes and used them as metaphors for business challenges.
This time, we use classic Hollywood movie villains as the stand-in for small business scares.
FRANKENTSTEIN’S MONSTER
Creating something new can be scary.
TIP: Leaving your comfort zone can be scary and it’s OK to acknowledge that. But a small business owner, by nature, loves to create things.
Let your ideas blossom and keep them away from fire.
DRACULA
You are beginning to feel drained. You still love your business but it is taking a lot.
TIP: Learn to delegate things and delete what doesn’t need to be done. And have you considered how good you look in turtle necks?
WOLFMAN
Your business is going through a major transition and, at times, it can feel painful.
TIP: Be sure to pace yourself and take time for your mental and emotional health. Change is a constant in business, but you need to feel comfortable with it.
